Itinerary

Day 1Airport – Amman

Meet and assist at Queen Alia International Airport by our representative, after visa formalities, transfer to your hotel in Amman for check-in.

Day 2Amman – Jerash – Ajloun – Amman

Transfer to visit Jerash, a tour through the colonnaded street, amphitheater, Churches, temples, and the vast Roman Forum. The best-preserved Roman City Gerasa, called Jerash today, is also known as the city of 1.000 pillars. The city’s golden age came under Roman rule and the site is now generally acknowledged to be one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. Hidden for centuries in the sand before being excavated and restored over the past 70 years, Jerash reveals a fine example of the grand, formal provincial urbanism found throughout the Middle East.

Continue to Ajloun, proceed through pine forests and olive groves to visit the mighty Castle of Ajloun, the Castle is the major ancient monument within the Ajloun region. it was built by one of Saladin’s generals in 1184 AD to control the local iron mines of Ajloun and to counter the progress of the Crusaders by dominating the three main routes leading to the Jordan Valley and protecting the communication routes between Jordan and Syria.

Back to Amman.

Day 3Amman – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Shobak – Petra

Visit Madaba (City of Mosaics), where you will see the unique map of the Holy Land in St. George Church 6th C. AD. Madaba and its hinterlands were repeatedly mentioned in the Old Testament as Madaba.
Proceed to visit the Sanctuary at Mount Nebo the (Memorial burial place of Prophet Moses). Mount Nebo is the place where Moses viewed the Holy Land of Canaan. Mount Nebo’s first church was built in the late fourth century to mark the site.
Continue to visit Shobak castle, built during the crusader times, 894 years ago, Shawbak castle appears as a natural extension of the dramatic hill it is perched. The castle and its surrounding group of ten villages were inhabited until the 1950s. It is constructed precariously on the side of a mountain, with a grand sweep of fruit trees below.
Continue to Petra.

Day 4Petra – Wadi Rum

Visit the unique “Rose-Red” city of Petra, built by the Arab Nabateans who hewed their monumental tombs, palaces, temples, and treasury from the desert rock’s sandstone in its’ natural hues of rose and gold. You will begin the trip reaching the entrance of the impressive narrow gorge (Siq), leading to a marvelously magical monument, where you get a glimpse of the Treasury, continue to the street of facades, the Royal Tombs, the Cardo, Temples, Churches, Museums.
Continue to Wadi Rum.

Day 5Wadi Rum – Aqaba

Set out an excursion at the largest and most magnificent of Jordan’s deserts of Wadi Rum, (Valley of the Moon),.The largest and most magnificent of Jordan’s desert landscapes.

Tour inside the desert with a 4×4 off-road SUV for 2 hours, “Vast, Echoing and God-like “- these were the words T.E. Lawrence used in describing Wadi Rum.

Day 6Aqaba – Dead Sea

Transfer to the lowest spot on earth, 398m (1306 ft.) below sea level – the Dead Sea. A time for leisure and swimming. Enjoy the bizarre but delightful experience of floating” on the surface of buoyant waters, nine times saltier than regular seawater. The therapeutic water of the Dead Sea, combined with the valley’s fertile land and warm climate, has attracted people to live, hunt, and farm in the area since the Stone Age.

Day 7Dead Sea – Amman city tour

Free morning at the Dead Sea, transfer discover Jordan’s proud capital, Amman. By exploring both the ancient and modern parts of the city you’ll gain insight into the daily life as well as the historic culture of Jordan. The tour includes the crumbling ruins of the ancient Citadel, which sits proudly atop a hill and overlooks Amman’s Labyrinthine downtown. Marvel at the colossal pillars of the Temple of Hercules (larger than any temple in Rome) and wander around the remains of the Governor’s Palace and Mosque, both later Islamic constructions. For a more detailed view of the country’s history, you will visit the Archaeological Museum, built within the remains of the Citadel. The museum presents an array of artifacts from archaeological sites in Jordan, dating from prehistoric times to the 15th century.
